  • Healthy Child Award

    Fri 29 Jan 2016

Park Junior School are proud to announce that we are the first school in Northamptonshire to be awarded the Healthy Child Project 2020 Award. It recognises that Park Junior has embedded promoting a healthy lifestyle through out the school and curriculum.

We were presented the award at a special assembly attended by a number of dignitaries including Dr. Akeem Ali Director of Public Health and Wellbeing at Northamptonshire County Council, Councillor Barry Graves and his wife Pauline who are the current Mayor and Mayoress of Wellingborough and Councillor Matt Golby.

The students took part in the assembly in many ways; the Change For Life group performed a cheerleading routine, the Computing Crew showed a game they had coded which promoted having a healthy and active lifestyle. All the students who took part received great praise from the visitors.

Well done to all at Park for achieving this amazing award!

  • School Website Update

    Thu 07 Jan 2016

A new feature of the school’s website allows you to subscribe to events from the school calendar so that they download into your own personal calendar on your mobile phone, tablet or computer.

All you need to do is visit the calendar on the school website and click the link called ‘Link the school events to your personal calendar’. You can then choose from three options: to add to your default calendar (for example, on an iPhone it will go to the iPhone calendar); to add it to your Google calendar; or input it to your calendar programme of choice.

    Things to know:

If the school edits its calendar, the updates will appear automatically in your calendar (the time that this takes to happen will  depend on your calendar programme).

You cannot edit the events in the school calendar.

All events will pull through in one colour only, not the colours set by the school.

You can name the calendar and choose how often to receive updates (we recommend you set this to as often as possible).

You can unsubscribe via your own calendar at any time.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let the office know and we can forward them to the school’s website provider.
