E-Safety Information

Your child's safety on-line is of great importance in today's world. We very much encourage both school and home working together to ensure that all children use the internet safely. A range of documents and links to support parents in the process of keeping children safe are listed below. There is a wealth of information on many aspects of the on-line world.

As a school, Park Junior has a filtering system in place called 'Securly' that ensures that all searches each child makes are safe. If a child makes an unsafe search, the system picks this up and a weekly report is sent to the Head Teacher so that any unsafe searches can be followed up.

This system works with all Park Junior school devices whether at home or at school. During lessons, children are guided to use safe apps especially subscribed ones eg TT Rockstars, trusted sites for research purposes and approved websites for computing lessons such as 'Scratch' or 'Tinkercad'. We do not ask children to interact with anyone on-line - this is strictly forbidden and if a site is seen as unsafe it will be blocked by our filtering system.

Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) provides lots of useful information to help keep your child safe online, about spotting the signs and dealing with exploitation. There are different areas of the website for parents and for children.
