Wednesday 24th May

After a good night, the children were pleasantly surprised this morning when they went down to breakfast and saw the lovely cooked breakfast on offer as well as the cereals and toast options. We all enjoyed a hearty breakfast before getting ready for our orienteering around Ilam Hall's grounds. We went off in our five groups using the maps to look for the numbered posts. Once we found the posts we had to work out riddles and 'Who am I?' questions as well as constructing different poses for i pad photos. It was hot, sunny weather but thanks to hats and sun cream, the children were safe and well prepared.

Once we had found all the posts and completed the challenges we had our packed lunch outside before going up to rooms for a few minutes to have a break from the sun.

In the afternoon, we split into two groups and whilst one had a go at indoor archery, the other did a variety of team games on the field including a game of French Cricket and then they swapped.

We had our evening meal and then went into our craft groups to make the geckos or pipe cleaner superheroes.

The children have gone to sleep a lot more quickly tonight which is great as they'll be ready tomorrow morning for a fun packed day, starting with our hill climb!
