Welcome to Park Junior School!
Park Junior School is a two form entry school for children from Year 3-6. We have 240 amazing pupils in the school, with a waiting list for every year group. We are a very diverse school with 22 different languages presently being spoken. We are committed to improvement, with our school motto being ‘Together We Make A Difference!’
The school has a long history of educating the children of Wellingborough. It first opened for education back in 1873, although Park Junior School officially opened in 1968. Our Victorian building makes us unique with its historical architecture in conjunction with the modern trappings of schools in the 21st century.
The school prides itself on meeting the needs of every single child, including those with special educational needs and those who are gifted and talented. We have a specialist SEN Unit for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and support children from all over North Northamptonshire.
We have a team of highly committed staff who dedicate themselves towards the individual needs of the children. We provide an exciting and vibrant curriculum, building upon our curriculum drivers of community, diversity and emotional awareness. Our school values this year are pride, accepting, resilience and knowledge (PARK).
The school offers a wealth of extra-curricular clubs to provide exciting and new opportunities. Most of these are run by our fabulous staff team, who strive to give experiences that can be enjoyed by all our children. We also offer a wealth of educational visits, including residentials in Year 4 and 6.
The school is delighted to have joined NPAT in September 2022 which will allow us to achieve even greater heights working in collaboration with all the expertise NPAT has.
