Family Support Worker

Park Junior School believe all children are entitled to an inclusive education. My role as the school's family worker is to bridge the gap between parents and school to overcome barriers to learning and issues of family life.

Here are some of the areas you or your child can come and chat with me about;

successes and achievements of you or your child in or out of school
support for bereavement, divorce, financial and housing advice
school attendance support
parenting advice
any areas of concern big or small - I am happy to listen

The family room is a comfortable and relaxed informal area including toys and activities to entertain younger siblings. It is situated in a private area of the school ensuring confidentiality at all times. If this is not convenient, I am available for home visits.

In addition to my role as a Family Worker, I am also the facilitator to Friends Of Park (school's fund raising committee) vice chair. If you are interested in joining either group please feel free to come in and have a chat.
