Monday 11th September
We had a very smooth journey today and arrived at Barmouth ready to enjoy the beach. We were very lucky as the weather just about held and we had a great time building sandcastles. After the sandcastles, we had time to go and get a much anticipated icecream with the biggest decision of the day being which of the many flavours to choose!
We left Barmouth to arrive at the centre at 4:30pm meeting the leaders and then we walked up a lovely country lane to our accommodation. Once there, the children went to their rooms to settle and unpack. Dinner was spaghetti Bolognaise and treacle tart and we had many lovely empty plates at the end.
In the evening, we went on a night walk around the grounds before coming back and having some quiet time together and hot chocolate. We are going to bed tonight looking forward to our first activities tomorrow.
