Reading at home

This page is here to support you in encouraging and guiding the children to read at home. There is a wealth of evidence to show that reading at home and for pleasure increases children's achievement and enjoyment in learning. We aim to encourage all children to read as often and as widely as possible. If we can help you at all in this, please contact your child's teacher initially. Miss Townson is working on further ways to support everyone in making reading an integral part of every day. 

Also, please encourage children to record all reading on 'Track my read'. 

The documents will all provide some guidance or ideas on how to help the children further. Have fun reading.
