Welcome to 3KY's class page!!
Happy New Year! 
I hope you have had a wonderful break and had a lovely time with family and friends over the holidays. I'm looking forward to hearing all about it this week when you get back into the classroom.
This term we will be looking at a new history topic on the Romans & its impact on Britain. After half term, we will then study natural disasters and Pompeii. This is a fun topic that gives us lots of opportunities to be creative. We will explore natural disasters & how that impacts the Romans through the Pompeii eruption and will even have a go at creating our own erupting volcanoes!
Linked to our History topic of The Romans, we will be visiting Flag Fen. This is a fantastic day where will we get the opportunity to handle Roman artefacts, learn about what ife as a Roman soldier was like and even get the chance to meet one and also Queen Boudicca!
The other areas of the curriculum (Maths, English, Science, RE, Art and Design) will be linked to our new topics, where appropriate, to help with your understanding and to give you opportunities to show off and use all of the new learning and new facts that you will have learnt.
PE will continue to be on a Wednesday afternoon (gymnastics) and a Friday morning (co-ordination and balance). You will need to come to school in your PE kit (black shorts or bottoms, a white t-shirt and trainers) on these days. No football shirts are to be worn. Please can you make sure that no jewellery is worn on these days and that long hair is tied up.
