Class 3KY 26-27
Welcome to 3KY!
In our class we have 3 fantastic adults for you to work with throughout the year. Mrs Young is your main class teacher and will be in class with you from Monday through to Thursday. On Fridays, Miss Jones will teach you and has some fantastic lessons lined up! Mrs Capiron will work in class all week supporting all children and will sometimes work in small groups too.
In the first few days, we will complete lessons that will help everyone to understand, discuss and embrace what life at Park will be like. From daily routines and lesson structures to behaviour expectations. Above all, it will make sure that you feel welcomed into our amazing school that is Park.
We are so excited to start our Autumn term topics! In Autumn 1, we will look at history and will be exploring the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Then in Autumn 2, we will focus on geography and the topic of ‘What are mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes?’. Our science lessons in the Autumn terms will focus on light and shadows and then nutrition, the skeleton and muscles. More information about our learning journey will be given in our termly newsletter so keep your eyes peeled for that!
PE for 3KY will take place twice a week, on a Thursday and a Friday. You will need to come to school in your PE kit on these days. PE kit at Park is black shorts or bottoms, a white t-shirt and trainers. No football shirts are to be worn. Please can you make sure that no jewellery is worn on these days and that long hair is tied up.
Homework will be discussed in September and more information will be given to you then. We LOVE reading at Park and really want you to as well! We would love it for you to read at home, listen to adults reading and even listen to audio books. I already have a selection of books lined up that I cannot wait to share with you, and we will add these to our reading road display in the classroom.
