Year 6 Distance Learning Resources
Welcome to the Year 6 resources page
This is our resources page for all year 6 children that can be used in specific lessons or at home.
With the school being closed from next week due to Coronavirus, this will be the page to go to for daily tasks to keep up the learning in year 6, which is very important for this year.
You can choose to do the set tasks in the book you are given or on the computer to then email back to the right teacher using RM Unify (link below) as you have been shown. All the teacher email addresses are there to use.
All maths booster group children are welcome to continue in their booster group CGP books and year 6 will be given two tasks a week to complete in their lesson '10 minute tests' CGP books. (please only do the tasks given). Although the SATs have been cancelled, these books still provide quality work that will take your child's learning forwards, so we recommend any children with booster books use them and all children complete the pages when set in their CGP 10 minute books.
Take this opportunity to improve your tables and the links for great online tables games are in 'Mrs May's Resources' and the 'Maths'. (the orange blob!)
If you have a Doodlemaths or a DoodleEnglish account then use the Maths, English, Spell and Tables as much as you can at home; it is a great way of practicing all your skills.
You can also continue with your homework to gain more points. All these tasks are current and worth doing. The homework grids are posted below for your reference.
In the event of a school closure, we will post work each day for you to complete below. There will be a maths task, English task and another following our school timetable. Each of your group teachers will post your work so go into the 'day' and find your work. It can be completed in your book or emailed to us using RM Unify.
Click on the day, and it will all be there for you!
Easter Holiday Ideas for things to do
Hi year 6!
A big well done to all of you who have been having a go at the work we have been setting daily. Because it is now the Easter holidays, we won't be setting daily work for you to do as we have been. However, knowing that you can't go out so much, we have loaded up lots of website ideas for you to visit if you wish to keep yourselves occupied over the 2 weeks holiday. They are in subject folders below.
When the two week holiday has finished, we will start setting the daily tasks again.
We won't be looking at our e mails so often and we don't expect you to send anything you do back but you are welcome to stay in touch.
Happy Easter and stay safe
from Mrs May , Mrs deBoer , Mrs McMahon , and Mrs Montgomery
