Wednesday 22nd April

Wednesday 22nd April

Happy Hump Day! We’re half way through the week!

Your activities for today are:

English: Your English for today is edit and re-write the text. There are 20 errors, so you need to find all of them. This could include capital letters, missing punctuation, new paragraphs, missing words and so on. It is up to you how you edit this but you do need to re-write this either in your books or typed.

Maths: Your Maths today is to continue with our work on fractions. Your work is attached and the crib sheet gives you links and extra information to help you.

Get of the screens: Your challenge for today is to get off the screens and build something. This could be a den in the living room using blankets, a Lego model, a marble run using old toilet or kitchen rolls, something using recycled boxes, a tower or maybe you have the resources to build a robot!

Brain Teaser:

The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: It’s your hair colour. You are the bus driver!

Your brain teaser for today is: A man is looking at a photograph of someone. His friend asks who it is. The man replies, “Brothers and sisters, I have none. But that man’s father is my father’s son.” Who was in the photograph?

Fact of the day:  Did you know carrots weren’t always orange? Wild carrots can range in colour from white to yellow to purple. The orange variety popular today was developed by the Dutch, and was originally a slender, white root, more similar to the parsnip than the modern carrot.
