Wednesday 25th May
We are just finishing a fun-packed day still full of smiles. This morning we split into small groups and travelled around the grounds as part of our orienteering activity. It was raining so it was quite a wet experience however thanks to all the boots and coats the children brought, we weren't put off and found a number of bases where we needed to complete 'who am I?, riddles and photograph challenges. We also picked up jigsaw pieces at each base and had to put them together once back to create the picture. The children were great, taking on different roles and working as a team.
In the afternoon we split into 2 groups and whilst one group completed lots of team building activities the other group had a go at indoor archery. It was incredible to see the children improving in the archery with every go and the team building brought out some real leadership qualities in so many.
The children have been fabulous at getting themselves organised and listening to instructions making the whole trip run so smoothly. They have looked after each other and we have enjoyed seeing them thrive in each others' company just enjoying every experience they are given.
After a dinner of pasta and a hit - the chocolate fudge cake, we split into our craft groups to complete the opposite activity from last night. More beaded geckos were created and more pipecleaner Ilam Superheroes have joined our group!
We are just finishing off with a nice hot chocolate for those who would like to have it and then it is bedtime, which we're sure will be welcome to all in order for them to recharge their batteries for tomorrow.
