Morningg!

Thanks so much for all of those who are sending us work. Even if you don’t send work, we would love to hear from you, so drop us an email and let us know how you are getting on J

Your tasks for today are:

English: Your English today is to play a few of the spelling games below.

https://www.spellzone.com/word_lists/games-10609.htm

https://www.spellzone.com/word_lists/games-10609.htm

Or perhaps you have some of your own spelling games you could play?

Then if you want, you can try and create your own WordSearch for someone else to solve using some of the spellings we have done throughout the year. Perhaps you could hide 10 words?

Maths: Today you will create your own line graphs. Remember to think about how you will present your graph, think about the intervals and the increments e.g. The graph above shows the temperature increasing by 1ºC each time. Remember to use a ruler to draw your graphs and connect the points for the lines. This useful link might help remind you about presenting the data.

Topic: Your topic for today is continuing with our new topic of where we began. Today we are looking at the work of archaeologists and finding evidence. Make your way through the PowerPoint and then complete the challenge of Choosing items from different periods of history and draw an image of where they would be buried. There are a number of examples in the PPT to help you with what your image should look like and the different periods of time you could include.

Extra Special Project - Some of you may have seen the Facebook post, but just in case you haven't, Mr Tebbutt and Mrs May have set a little project for you.

For our next project, we are asking for the children to send us a 5-10 second clip to show us something they have been doing. This could be a model, dance, sport, exercise, art, music or introducing their pet. We will be putting this to music (so no audio in your clip) and making a short film. Please send your short video clips for Mrs Jenny May for collating (jmay@park-jun.northants.sch.uk). Please send your video clips by Friday 1st May.

Can't wait to see what you've all been getting up to!

Have a lovely day,

Miss Morris and Mr Fordham.

Brain Teaser:

The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: Neither – the yolk of the egg is yellow!

Your brain teaser for today is: You can find it in Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, but not in Venus or Neptune. What is it?

Fact of the day:

Violin bows are commonly made from horse hair.
