Thursday 7th May 2020
Morning everyone! Hope you are doing okay today!
Your tasks for today are:
English: Your English for today is to complete the grammar exercise on punctuating bullet points. Make sure you read through the chapter first. Remember this is what we use in class. You are not expected to complete all 3 worksheets. Just the level that is suitable for you. Red = Basic, Green = Advancing and Blue = Deep.
Maths: Your Maths today is based on Area.
- Remember, to work out the area of a square or rectangle, multiply its height by its width. If the height and width are in cm, the area is shown in cm².
- If the height and width are in m, the area is shown in m².
- A square with sides of 5 m has an area of 25 m², because 5 × 5 = 25.

Science: Today we are looking at the properties of materials and reversible and irreversible changes. Read through the instructions and the PowerPoint and then conduct the investigation if you can.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is a bank holiday so we won’t be uploading work. I’m hoping for a nice sunny day so that I can continue to paint the garden fence! Although you can’t go anywhere, we hope you have a lovely long weekend as will be back again on Monday. Stay Safe.
Have a lovely day,
Miss Morris and Mr Fordham.
The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: A donut!
Your brain teaser for today is: Lose me once, I’ll come back stronger. Lose me twice, I’ll leave forever. What am I?
Fact of the day: In ancient times, Romans used mouse brains as toothpaste. (ERGH!)
