Thursday 14th May 2020
Happy Thursday guys.
Your tasks for today are:
English: Your English today is to work through the reading and sentence activity on Out of Control.
Maths: Your maths today is continuing with your work on time with today’s focus being 12-hour to 24-hour. Remember to use the crib sheet to help you and then select the level most appropriate for you.
Topic: Your topic for today is continuing with our new unit. Begin by working through the PowerPoint which looks at Stone Age Homes, then sketch each type of house – labelling them with the materials that they were made from.
There is an extension of looking at some Stone Age fact cards.
Have a lovely day,
Miss Morris and Mr Fordham.
The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: The C!
Your brain teaser for today is: A girl is sitting in a house at night that has no lights on at all. There is no lamp, no candle, nothing. Yet she is reading. How?
Fact of the day: The human eye can detect the light of a candle from over a mile away. We sometimes underestimate how powerful human vision actually is. In a flat landscape at night, the unaided human eye can see even a small candle flame from as far as 1.6 miles away
