Thursday 30th April
Thursday 30th April 2020
Wow – the last day of April already! Where has the last month gone? We hope you are doing okay.
Today should have been the day we headed to the Harry Potter studios for our school trip! We are gutted that we are unable to go, but thought that today we could have a bit of a HP day instead.
English: For your English today, there are a number of word based Harry Potter activities for you to try. You do not have to do them all, but pick a couple to attempt.
Maths: Today you are going to be reading timetables. Use the information on the sheet to answer questions involving time. This video is useful to help you to understand how timetables work. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/maths-ks2-using-timetables/zn2hy9q
Creative: Now it’s your turn to get creative. We would like you to have a bit of fun with all things Potter. Perhaps you would like to make your own wand, brew a potion in the kitchen, or draw your own Harry Potter characters using the links below. You might even want to dress up and watch your favourite film. The choice is yours.
Have a lovely day,
Miss Morris and Mr Fordham.
The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: 7. All BUT 7 ran away, which means he has 7 left.
Your brain teaser for today is: Which tyre doesn’t move when the steering wheel is turned?
Fact of the day:
In 1325, two Italian city states fought over a bucket which resulted in 2,000 deaths. It started when two soldiers stole a bucket from a well from the city centre.
