We have had an adventurous first day in Wales. We arrived in Harlech in time for lunch and ate in the park before tackling the steepest hill in the world! The children climbed down the hill and then set off for a race up the hill. Unfortunately, no-one was able to make it the whole way up running however we did all make it up the hill... eventually. Despite the rain, we all enjoyed an ice cream in Harlech before heading to Pensarn Harbour. After getting in to our room and unpacking, we played a few games before dinner. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner of homemade pizza, potatoes and peas, followed by ice cream and warm chocolate sauce. Fully fuelled up, we decided to head off for a night time adventure to the beach. We all wrapped up warm and in waterproof clothing, armed with torches and set off through the fields. We explored the area close to Pensarn Harbour and eventually came across the beach. We had fun drawing in the sand and finding shells before heading back, by torchlight, for showers and hot chocolate. What a fantastic start to our trip, we are all excited about tomorrow's activities.
