Monday 7th October
Today has been an amazing start to our week. The roads were very clear and our timings worked perfectly resulting with us arriving in Barmouth at 3pm to enjoy the beach in the sun! What more could we ask for! After 45 minutes of building sandcastles and playing in the sand we went for our ice creams to the shop that sells 22 flavours.
Once we arrived at the centre we walked up the lane that we will become very familiar with and settled into our rooms with friends. Dinner was pasta bolognaise and chocolate mousse and after we went for our night torch walk to the beach.
The children have been incredible! We have never had a group where everybody in the group has kept up and there has not been one child who found the 3 mile walk difficult. They are a very sparky and resilient lot who are already there for any challenge - this bodes very well for the week ahead.
The group have gelled brilliantly together and have clearly enjoyed the new adventure with their friends. They have listened superbly to all the instructions as they have taken on board their new routines and impressively, every single person has gone to sleep with no problem tonight.
We can't wait for tomorrow!
