Friday 24th April

Friday 24th April

It’s FRIDAY! You’ve made it to the end of the week! Your final day of week 3 is as followed…

English: Your English today is to read the Robin and the Potter and answer the questions on this. This will also be your challenge for Monday so we are not expecting your work back today. Some of you may choose to read the text over the weekend as a bit of enjoyment reading and then answer the questions on Monday. These are similar style questions to those that you would have to answer in an assessment so it is good practice.

Maths: Your Maths today is to continue with our work on fractions. Your work is attached and the crib sheet gives you links and extra information to help you.

Art: Your art for today is to create a self-portrait. Below is a variety of different ideas which you could use as a stimulus for your own self portrait and a step by step guide on how to draw a face. You can be as real or as crazy as you like with this, but remember, it needs to look like you. Have fun and we can’t wait to see your designs!

Remember that on Friday’s we are in school so won’t respond to emails as quickly but we hope you have a lovely weekend and speak to you again on Monday.

Brain Teaser:

The answer to the brain teaser yesterday was: 1! It was only you going to St Ives.

Your brain teaser for today is: A boy is walking down the road with a doctor. While the boy is the doctor’s son, the doctor is not the boy’s father. Then who is the doctor?

Fact of the day:

80% of taste is determined by aroma. You can test this fact if you have a mind to! Just plug your nose and take a bite of an apple, then a bite of a potato. Most people can’t tell the difference. This is the reason food tastes different when you’re sick or congested.
